There are many foods or snacks that can be produced from cassava. One of them is getuk. Snacks made from cassava are market snacks that are commonly found in Central Java or East Java.

The philosophy of getuk cassava is to symbolize simplicity and to use the potential we have actively and creatively so that it makes us more independent in various situations. On the basis of the Getuk Cassava symbolizes simplicity, nrimo ing pandum, qona'ah, as it is, and is far from merely an attitude of consumerism.

Getuk itself is divided into two kinds, namely ordinary getuk and getuk lindri. Here's the difference:
  • Regular getuk, when the cassava is ripe at the time of the temperature is still hot, sprinkled with small pieces of Javanese sugar so that the brown color is not evenly distributed, this is a rough shape.
  • Getuk lindri, is a way of cooking cassava finely ground with sugar, sprinkled with food coloring and vanilla and after that it is printed elongated small and close together this is similar to noodles to form a display with a thickness of about 2cm 4cm wide, after that cut cut into a shape about 5cm long and 4cm wide

Getuk Lindri
Getuk Lindri 
On this occasion we will discuss a recipe for making Lindri getuk. Getuk is best used as an afternoon snack with a cup of coffee or tea. Here's the Recipe and How to make it.

Materials prepared (for 20 pieces of cake)
  1. 1 kg of cassava (cultivated cassava type of butter)
  2. 200 grams of sugar
  3. 1,5 tbsp butter (I use a blue band)
  4. 1/2 coconut
  5. 1 sachet White Sweet Thickened Ssus (optional)
  6. Green and red food coloring
  7. A pinch of salt
Making Steps
  1. Wash the cassava and steamed for 30-45 minutes
  2. After being cooked and tender lift the cassava to the container, and pound it
  3. After the cassava is crushed mix butter, salt, granulated sugar and sweetened condensed milk. Stirred using hand kneaded until all mixed.
  4. After mixing the mixture into 2 parts. I use 2 colors namely red and green
  5. The last step is to roll the dough (I use a meat grinder). After finishing all arrange getuk lindri and sprinkle with grated coconut which has been steamed before. Please try.
